Lactation support that meets you where you are
Makana Lactation Consulting offers evidence-based, judgement- free breastfeeding support through secure virtual visits. Whether you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or months into your feeding journey, we’ll work together to find what fits your family.
Meet Makana
Makana means gift in ‘Olelo, the language of Hawaii. This practice was born out of a deep love for the gift of life itself- the babies we hold, the bodies that grew them, and the courage it takes to feed them, however that looks. My heart is to come alongside you as you nourish that gift, with support that’s gentle, practical, and full of grace.

Check out the Makana Mom Minutes Podcast!
Makana Mom Minutes is a real-talk podcast for parents who are tired of sugar coated advice. We’ll walk through everything from pregnancy prep to those messy first weeks home, feeding wins and feeding failures, and the stuff nobody tells you about. I’ll also be inviting other parents and professionals to share their stories in future episodes. If you’d like to have your story featured or join me as a guest, reach out to us on our contact page.
“WORTH EVERY PENNY!! My husband and I used a surrogate to have our son and I desperately wanted to be able to feed him on my own. I worked with Makana for 3 months prior to him being born and had enough supply to feed him from the day he was born!”
